Aurora Borealis / Northern Lights in Bodø
My lovely Siiw pointed out as she came home from work, that there were some beautiful Northern Lights in the sky.
I quickly went outside to see this spectacular natural phenomenon myself, especially since the only other Aurora Borealis I'd seen so far, was a rather weak one.
Tonight was wonderful, and quite a bit stronger than that last time! I quickly went back inside, put on some more clothes and grabbed my camera and tripod.
Took a while to find a decent spot to put my tripod on as it's a 'gorilla-pod' model, but I think I managed to capture my first northern lights experience here in Bodø, Nordland, Norway quite nicely.
Definitely looking forward to the next occurrence!
Post-processed in iPhoto '09 to increase the visibility of the northern lights a bit more to reflect what I saw.
